As some of you may know, I recently went to Bermuda and OMG it is by far one of the most beautiful islands I have ever been on.

Here are some of the gorgeous sights that I got to feast my eyes on every day …

This looks so beautiful.  I would love to sit out in the middle where all the rocks are gathered together and just enjoy the breeze against my skin.

I’m here in NYC – the city of dreams and an empire state of mind.  Some of my captures today.

Happy WW Everyone ! Don’t forget to share your linky below.

sunset wave

I would love to be here right now.  I envy the photographer that managed to capture this image.  (and if it’s photo shopped, then don’t tell me – let me enjoy this moment)

Two weekends from now – I’ll be in Bermuda and maybe I might get a pic like this myself.

natures tunne

Found this over on TheGirlThing.com and had to share this with you all.  I would love to go through a tunnel like this – whether it be by train or car or even walking.

There’s something about being surrounded and totally encompassed by nature that appeals to me.  It sort of takes me to another place – away from the every day things that tend to clutter ones mind.  There’s a serenity in nature that just takes my breath away.

sunkissed hammock

I wish I was on that hammock right now.  I just want to be near the water, somewhere surrounded by nature watching a beautiful sunset.  (With someone special would be an added bonus)

That’s the life !!I I would kill to be at this spot right now ! The last few weeks have taken their toll on and I feel absolutely shattered.  I just want unwind and take some time to myself.

The minute I saw this photo, I knew that’s where I wanted to be.  This idyllic location is at Indigo Bay Resort and Spa located on Bazaruto Island off the coast of Mozambique.  Maybe I should book a flight there !

I’m a big fan of sun-sets … Took this photo from my grandparents terrace .. lucky for me I can find a haven in this bustling city ! So what if I can’t sit by the beaches of Mauritius – at least I have a lovely view.

These photos were taken at the Dead Sea from the Jordanian side. The mountains you see at the horizon are from the Palestine / Israel side. The first hour we were at the Dead Sea it was calm, clear skies and waters; and from the above photo you can faintly see the rain cloud and concentrated rainfall.

 P4300460

By the time the rain cloud got closer – my mate Sabs and I were just floating in awe staring at the formation moving towards us.  Everyone seemed to have run out of the water (why would you get out of water if it’s raining – you’re already wet !)

P4300462

And when the rain hit us – it was almost painful – that’s how large the drops were – coming down hard and fast.

It was awesome !! Quite literally – the calm before the storm.

This is another one of my favourite pictures from my recent trip to Jordan.  I love the way so many different types of landscapes have been captured – from the rocks, to the soft desert sand and the solid rock mountains behind them.  If you look closely on your right – you can even see a part of the sand-storm that was coming my way !

We managed to catch the Sunset in the Desert too – but my camera had died by then so I didn’t get to capture that image.

Now that’s an unusual sight !! I was quite happy to see the camel going for a ride in the car instead of being the one giving rides to people.  The camel just stared right at me whilst I took the picture !

Managed to capture this in Wadi Rum, Jordan on 29th April ‘11.

I took this picture last week from a moving train whilst en-route from Delhi to Amritsar.  It must have been about 7:30 am or so and the air was crisp and chilly.  There was this mist in the air, an early morning fog if you could call it that .. but I loved it.

The view made me keep looking out into the horizon.  Great way to start the morning.

A few weeks ago, AM and I had gone for a walk in the secret garden that we discovered courtesy of NB.  In one far corner of the garden we came across this …

Imagine walking alone at night and having to walk across this pathway ? Would you just casually go by like it’s no big deal or would you quicken your pace just a bit .. just in case ?

I wish I was back at this waterfall ! I was in Mauritius last week for an Edu-Tour of some new properties for events; and we went out for a picnic in the nature reserve … tucked away within 10 hectares of nature – this was 1 of 5 waterfalls on the reserve.

I didn’t have my bikini with me – otherwise I would have been swimming in there ! but I did cross into the falls and get up to the rocks and managed to get some of that fresh water splashing all over me =)

Have you been to any nice waterfalls and where ? Don’t you find them to be soothing ? I love to just sit down on the grass or some rocks – soak my feet in the water and watch the water flow from the top of the falls down into the rock pools or streams.

Have a lovely Wednesday ! Don’t forget to share your #WW link if you are participating !

desert sunset

I found this picture on Google images and felt a calmness wash over me whilst I just took in the sheer beauty of it.  I grew up in Dubai and often found an escape in the desert; especially around the time of sun-set.  The desert air cools down almost the minute the sun goes into hiding; and it can get pretty chilly at night.

All I want right now is to lay back against the sands, with a hookah (or sheesha as some may know it) and just ‘chill’.  What about you ? Have you ever enjoyed the warmth of the desert ? Have you ever been camping in the desert ? It’s a lot of fun =)

Isn’t this just stunning ?? UK based photographer Pete Barnes took this sunset photograph over a small lake … the water is so flat !! and the colours !! It took my breath away ! Don’t forget to check out the rest of his work on his website.

I came across this mini-natural fall whilst on route to Lonavala from Bombay over the weekend.  I’m a sucker for a nature – and couldn’t resist stopping the car to get a few pics =)

What do you think ? Isn’t the picture just so serene ?

Empty spaces

As soon as I saw this photo – I was utterly captivated and magically transported to the shores of the beach and could feel my feet getting splashed with salt water.   The photo was taken by JJJohn in Manduria, Italy.

Thought I’d try something different since I’m still new to this .. I’d love to know your answers to the questions below :)

  1. How do you ‘feel’ you see this image ?
    • I’m drawn in by the horizon.  I want to sink the soles of my feet in the sand and feel the water trap them in.  I want to spread my arms and embrace the winds and salt water air and feel my hair blown away.  I want to feel the power of nature.

That’s my answer.. what about yours ?

lovely-old-lane

I found this gorgeous picture on Evans blog over at Beautiful Mac.  This is one of pictures compiled for Earth Day.  The photo is © Northman (Arjan Noordman).  It’s a lane on an old estate in Wezep (Holland).  The original photo can be found here.

Thought I’d try something different since I’m still new to this .. I’d love to know your answers to the questions below :)

  1. What comes to mind when you see this image ?
    • ‘Light at the end of the road’; ‘power of nature’;
  2. If you could be at this location right now – who would you be there with and what would you be doing ?
    • I’d be by myself .. I love exploring on my own .. and this seems like the perfect road for me to get lost in my sporadic thoughts :)

So those are my answers .. what are yours ?
