I wish I could have taken this picture myself !! So far I’ve seen a goat with a jacket and a goat in a car !
Happy Wordless Wednesday Folks ! Don’t forget to share your linky below !
My very own dazed corner in Bloggerville to ramble about anything and everything.

Recently I’ve kinda developed a bit of a soft spot for lizards. They still give me the creeps but it’s very hard to explain. Let’s just say that lizards are meant to bring good luck; and lately I have a family of 4 lizards hanging out my bedroom window.
Anyway, this has got to the prettiest lizard I have ever seen. I came across it on my island tour of Bermuda and managed to capture a few shots of it before it ran for cover !
What do you think of this lizard ? Pretty right ? If only they weren’t so creepy – I would have tried to hold this one for a close up picture !

Saw this on a friends’ FB wall yesterday and had to share it. This unusual scene was caught on camera by a friend in Dubai over the weekend. It was UAE National Day and looks like our friend Mr Camel got to chill out in the back seat before heading back out to the desert.
Reminds me of the ‘Camel Ride’ picture I managed to take in Jordan last year.
Camels are cute. What do you think ?
A friend of mine took this photo and shared it on FaceBook and I had to share it with you all this #WordlessWednesday !
Anyone else seen a sight like this ?
Today is Day 4 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and it also happens to be a Wednesday which means its times for a #WordlessWednesday post (not that any of them are ever really wordless and the challenge states that one must have a minimum of 100 words in a post for it to count as part of the UBC).
One of my gym trainers had put this picture up on FB so I don’t really know where this was taken … but daaaaaaamnnn ! Now that makes for an interesting ambulance !! Definitely fuel saving but what happens in a real emergency ?
As a side note, it struck me whilst looking at this pic – the way the traffic is in Bombay – I’m surprised that an ambulance can actually get anywhere (no joke here) But I’ve seen bumper to bumper traffic – with no signs of an ambulance even moving a few feet at a time (the roads in Bombay are in a state of chaos all through the year)
Happy #WW folks – don’t forget to share your link below !
p.s if you are taking part in the Ultimate Blog Challenge then don’t forget to share your link too !
Isn’t this pooch just adorable ? Managed to take this picture back at the start of the year (28th Jan ‘11 actually) as the car was approaching a red light.
Happy #WordlessWednesday folks ! Don’t forget to share your linkies below !
WW #48 : Happy Goat = Smiley Goat
This photo was taken by photographer Daniel Boswell on his recent trip to India where I had the pleasure of working with him on my clients’ wedding. Doesn’t the goat look super happy to have his picture taken ?
Once he’s had a chance to settle back and share some photos of the wedding; I’ll give you all a sneak peak of his creative photography.
Happy #WordlessWednesday folks !
Now that’s one taaaaaaaaaaallll giraffe … !!
Do I really need to say anything about this ?? LOL !
Don’t forget to link up and leave a comment if you are participating in #WordlessWednesdays !
We know who’s the man in this family ! Daddy goat all dressed up and waiting for Mummy goat and Kid to finish their snacks !
Photo courtesy of my friend who took it on one of her trips across India.
Who said you can’t mix polka dots and stripes ? My mate actually came across a group of donkeys covered in bright pink circles and stripes.
I do hope that the colour wasn’t a toxic colour and just food colour.
Now that’s an unusual sight !! I was quite happy to see the camel going for a ride in the car instead of being the one giving rides to people. The camel just stared right at me whilst I took the picture !
Managed to capture this in Wadi Rum, Jordan on 29th April ‘11.
How on earth did they manage to load a full grown Ox / Buffalo (whatever that is – and it’s definitely not a cow) on that rickshaw looking carrier ??
My mate DA is giggling away wondering if they are taking it home for lunch !!! It’s a ‘special consignment’ !
Have you ever seen anything like this ?? Well if you’re living in India – I’m sure you have. This photo was taken in Agra at the end of May this year when I went for a road trip with another girlfriend SH.
I couldn’t resist taking this photograph a few months ago whilst I was visiting Jaipur … My mate SH and I had gone up to The Sun Temple and found this cow standing over and checking out the city view.
From this angle – it looks like a pretty moo-tastic view to me ! If only I could have gotten a shot between her horns – now that would have made for a wicked photo !
I would really appreciate if you can leave a comment – it’s so sad knowing that you’ve come here and checked out the photograph but not even said a word *sigh* .. ok ok fine – you can even say you hate the picture :P and if you are participating in Wordless Wednesday – make sure you post your link on the linky below !
Just look at this crocodile smile !!! He has such an evil glint in his eyes; despite the fact that he’s got bulging eyes – the beady pupil makes me a bit nervous !
I met this little fellow in Pattaya a few months ago and at some point he kinda grew on me ! I have a picture of moi kissing this crazy fiend AND one of me sitting on his dad !!! OMG I was freaking out !!! But I loved every second of it !
As most of you know – I’m a camera-holic – and this picture proves my point that almost everybody - even animals - smiles for the camera ! Have a great Wednesday everyone !
Seriously – this is NOT a work of Photoshop !
I was catching up on some international news via Metro.co.uk (one of my favourite papers of all times!) and came across these ‘Smoking Crows’ and couldn’t get over how these guys managed to hold cigarettes in their beaks !
The nicotine-loving birds were photographed in the Maldives by British tourists Tony and Judie Ellis (who happen to come from a town called Crowborough in Sussex, England – seriously no joke here !). Basically the couple saw the crows land on the thatched roof of a water villa next to theirs; when one of the crows coolly began taking the cigarettes out of the packet and laying it on to the roof – only for other crows to come along and pick the cigarettes up in their beaks.
Now obviously the crows weren’t ‘actually’ smoking .. but daaaaaamn if they were – it would be a sight to see !!! I still can’t get over the fact that these crows are smoking ! One of the comments on the pictures I saw around the web – stated that these were not crows but really Jackdaws (I’m not much of a bird person so wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference!)

This has got to be one of my favourite photos. It was taken last week on 20th May in Jaipur at the base of a temple, knowing that I’d end up using it for the Wordless Wednesday series.
It’s quite cute how the monkey is just chilling on the back of the goat with no worries on his mind; and believe me when I say the goat walked about 100 meters uphill towards the temple with the monkey still sat on his back. I’ve never seen anything like it !
I know about those birds that sit on rhinos and elephants and get a free ride (but they are also getting food) and similarly there are certain small species of fish that nibble the gunk off whales … but this has got to be a first ! At first I thought ‘aah this must be a jungle trend’ until it dawned on me that I witnessed this in a city ! Even the monkey knows about air pollution and is taking the goat instead of the many motorbikes behind it !
Have you ever seen a monkey riding a goat (and not in a zoo / circus) ? Have you seen any other small / medium sized animal riding another type of animal ? Please do share your funniest animal sighting with all of us and if you’ve got a photo of it – don’t forget to put up your link !
Isn’t she just one gorgeous hairy beast ? I reckon she could gave Jane a swing for her tree house any day !!
I came across this photo whilst on FaceBook checking out my mate AJ’s profile and he had it as his profile picture ! So I had to do what any self-respecting blogger on the hunt for a great Wordless Wednesday picture would do … I downloaded it and am sharing it with all of you =)
So now that you’ve seen the awesome new trend in the jungle – what do you think about the eyes shadow that’s been used ? Have you ever dared to go so bright ? Do you reckon we could find this hairy beast a boyfriend ?
I’ve only just come back from a glorious two week vacation in Dubai … I was only meant to go for a a few days and just ended up extending my trip each time. For those of you who’re new to my blog; I’m a potpourri of cultures – and spent my childhood growing up in Dubai. It’s been about 1.5 year since I’ve been back and about 8 years since my family moved from there – but it’s still ‘home’ for me.
Words cannot describe just how I felt about my holiday – and hence I’m just going to share a few photographs with you to take you through my journey :)
The very modern hotel room for the first 4 nights of the holiday. Freaked NC out when I told her there was no separate shower ! She’d already made plans of kicking me out of the room for privacy during bath hours haha
The Burj Khalifa is truely a stunning tower and sight to gawk at.
Some of the views from outside Dubai Mall in the evening.
We went out to the Nassimi Beach which is a part of the Atlantis hotel and watched Cafe Del Mar perform live ! Spent a few hours at this super chilled out party and honestly I didn’t want to leave !
Went to this lovely cafe restaurant which overlooked the fountains outside Dubai Mall called Zahr El-Laymoun .. the food was to die for !
The coffee was served in the traditional way – loved the pot ! The juices were served in mini pitchers (that’s carrot juice in the photo below. ! And the shisha pipes were quite pretty and matched the colour theme of the entire restaurant.
The above two pics are from the Madinat Jumeirah – super chilled out; where you can go and grab some coffee; shisha; and a few drinks. There are various restaurants scattered across here overlooking the water front.
The last few days I crashed over at my aunts place in the Palms Jumeriah. That’s the view from out of my room window. On the left side is the pool and the beach ! It felt great to be able to open the lounge sliding doors and walk straight out to the pool and within 5 feet you can get to the beach.
And before I forget – you must see some of the new friends I made whilst out there … can’t wait to see them again !
I met all these cool creatures over at the Dubai Aquarium ! It’s a must visit if you ever make a trip out there. You even get the option of going snorkeling with the sharks ! or if you prefer to be safe – then you can take a ride on a glass bottom boat.
There you have it … my holiday snaps. I have LOTS more … but they just involve lots of alcohol ! hahah
It’s not just any penguins we are talking about here – I’m referring to two pairs of same-sex Male penguins – in Germany and San Francisco !
Let’s talk about our first pair of penguins from Germany and have recently hatched a chick of their very own !!! I came across this article in the paper sometime last month and had book marked it to eventually blog about it.
Basically two homosexual penguins at a German zoo (who are a part of a 6 strong community of gay penguins) have successfully hatched an egg after it was rejected by it’s parents and are doting over their baby chick.
The pair, known as Z and Vielpunkt are quite protective over the baby chick (sex unknown) and act exactly like a hetrosexual couple in taking turns for caring and feeding the chick.
Here’s a picture of them guarding the enclosure where the adopted chick is kept.
The gay penguins rose to fame when 4 Swedish female penguins were brought in to ‘cure’ them … obviously with no success. Incidentally there is nothing unusual about homosexuality amongst animals.
Now if we cross over the globe and head to San Francisco zoo, where Harry & Pepper who are Magellanic penguins – and been nesting together for 6 years after they were allowed to incubate an egg rejected by another pair – have been split up by a conniving female penguin, Linda who was widowed last winter.
Molting season is coming up and whilst Linda & Harry have been nesting for a few months now (she obviously didn’t want to stay single and a widow at her age); the zoo keepers are keen to see if Harry will spend any time with Pepper.
Hmmm and I thought maybe I have issues … I feel for Pepper !!
