It’s Time To De-Lurk

Yeah you read that right .. it’s time to de-lurkify yourself my friends ! Yes you … I know you’re reading this; I know you want to comment but you just haven’t gotten a strong enough hit of your coffee to want to comment just yet .. but I know deep down you really want to do it !

LurkerDay_DontWantToHideForever Are you just pretending that you don’t know what I’m talking about ?? A lurker is someone (just like you) who enjoys stopping by blogs (or sometimes lands there by accident), reading various blogs and enjoys the comments but doesn’t leave a single trace of his/her presence on your blog =(

It’s a big bad world out there – and even though its great that you’re here visiting my blog; I feel kinda sad that I’m never going to know who you are and where I can ever find you again !!! It’s just not fair – that you come and visit my blog and that I never get to discover who you are and what you do and what kind of blog you have or what kind of tweets you send out !!

It seemed apt to suggest that it’s the time to de-lurk as I happened to come across a similar sentiment whilst blog hopping today.  Adam Singer suggested that one of the ways to generate a buzz on a blog was to ask readers to de-lurk and Ari Herzog of Ariwriter wrote ‘Why I’d Like You To De-Lurk’; and I discovered that 14th January is National Delurking Day !

I remember losing my lurking streak to Kathy at the Junk Drawer way back in March 2009; I was so nervous that by the time I decided to de-lurkify myself – I was commenter number 118 !!!  Wow ! 118 comments on a single blog post ! That’s impressive !  I remember being scared about sounding silly but eventually I just took a deep breath and wrote down whatever came to mind.  Here’s a bit of what I wrote to Kathy …

So why was I lurking .. still grasping the concept of blogging; trying to find time to pen down my thoughts; sometimes I feel that what I have to say has already been said – so I just go off with a smile on my face

So what have you got to lose by de-lurking ? Absolutely nothing.  You would only be sharing your blogger voice with us all (and you’d be making my day by letting me know that you stopped by !)

And just to show you how easy it is .. here’s what you have to do to De-Lurkify yourself :

  1. Click on the Comment link
  2. Leave your name (real name or blogger name) and website address so I can drop by and visit you
  3. Leave your twitter name (if you tweet) comments

Now that’s the easy part … if you’re feeling brave you can also

  1. type in whatever you want i.e. how long you’ve been lurking for; if its your first time here; do you like / love or hate my blog; why do you lurk;  seriously you can write anything you want in here !

My aim is to try to discover at least 20 lurkers on my blog (my stats show that I have all these visitors but since there are never comments from them – it kinda leaves me feeling a bit low) – so if you’re a lurker – you’ll really be doing me a favour by de-lurking !

Go on – it’s time to de-lurk NOW !

Travel Tips for Pattaya

I recently dished out some Travel Tips for Thailand, and so I thought about extending that into a more city specific post.  I had been down to Pattaya during the Songkran Festival (and no one had told me just HOW much fun that could be !)

Here are some of my general travel tips for Pattaya:

Why Are You Going To Pattaya?  That’s the first question you must answer – and if the reason is the beach or to party – then you’re in a for a BIG surprise.  Pattaya does have 3 main beaches but they are quite ‘nasty’ and very commercialized.  The beaches aren’t very clean and neither is the water – for a good beach you have to head out to the islands for a day trip or just head over to Phuket / Krabi / Koh Samui instead.  The city is full of curb-side bars which is great if you are beer drinking or fancy drinking vodka in the middle of the afternoon – however there are very few clubs that play English music at night !  Also be warned – Pattaya is notorious for its Lady-Boys and prostitutes.  I don’t recommend single girls going to Pattaya at all.  The general view is lots of older men with very young Thai women all over the place !

Getting There.  Once you arrive into Bangkok airport, its quite easy to get to Pattaya which is 2 hours away by road.  There are metered taxis from the airport to Pattaya which ‘officially’ cost 1,050 THB, plus 60 THB for expressway charges.  There are AC buses as well which are about THB 106 and can be taken from the Transport Center at the airport.songthaew

Traveling Around Pattaya.  The most common form of transport in Pattaya is a  ‘Songthaew’ which is a dark blue pick-up truck with two benches in the back and a cover on top.  Tourists pay 10 THB per ride within the city (regardless of the distance).  They are all over the city and one can easily jump on and off the trucks.

Things To Do In Pattaya:

Alcazar Cabaret.  Definitely worth watching.  Get ready to be dazzled by the famous Thai Lady-Boys ! The show is approximately 2 hours long and is a fully choreographed musical performance.  The light effects and backdrops for each sequence is truly mind blowing; and done all so quickly !! The Alcazar Cabaret is situated on Pattaya 2nd Road, with 3 daily shows at 6:30 p.m, 8 p.m and 9:30 p.m (and complimentary soft drinks through out the show)  At the end of the show if you decide to take a picture with one of the performers – they will ask for a tip – so consider yourself warned.

P4170596 Foam Party at Hard Rock Cafe.  This event happens every Saturday and it is super fun !!  There’s a 300 THB entrance which includes one drink.  The party starts at 8 p.m till 1:30 a.m.  There’s a separate section for the foam party and the HRC pool is adjacent to it.  Don’t forget to take your bikinis / swimming trunks !

There are lockers and towels available for a rate of about THB 200 which is refundable on return of the keys and towels.

Sanctuary of Truth.  Is considered to be a work of art in progress.  It’s a typical Thai structure but made out of wood, and about 105 meters in height ! It is located at 206/2 Moo5 Naklua 12 Naklua Rd. Banglamung Chonburi 20150 Thailand

Fish Spa.  If you haven’t done this – then you MUST do it ! The price ranges from 80 THB  P4140107 to 200 THB and is broken into sessions of 15 mins, 30 mins and more.  Nat and I got very lucky as we got a deal for THB 150 for an unlimited time period.  Check out my experience at a fish spa.

Sriracha Tiger Zoo.  One of the highlights of my trip with Nat was heading over to the Tiger Zoo – which is approximately 30 minutes outside of Pattaya.  Here’s your chance to get a picture taken feeding a tiger cub; being carried by an elephant and if you are daring enough – you can even sit on a crocodile ! (yup I did that!) Make sure you carry enough cash as each photograph costs between 100 THB to 300 THB.  Also make sure you that you watch all the animal shows that go on.  The best way to get there would be to take a car or hire a taxi.

There you have it … that’s the general travel advice and tips I can give you for Pattaya. I hope this comes in handy for when you plan your next holiday.  Don’t forget to check out my travel tips for Thailand.

If you have any other travel advice for Pattaya – please leave a comment and share it with all the neighbours on Blogosphere.

Sexy Saturday – Will Smith

That’s right folks – I’m talking about our very own Fresh Prince from will smithBel-Air … and damn he’s turned out to be a hunk and a half !

This multi-talented maverick is not only an actor (initially TV series and then Hollywood), but a movie producer and a musician too.  The TV show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air ran for nearly six years from 1990 to 1996.

He started his career as a musician – actually a rapper back in the day – known as ‘Fresh Prince’ and he had teamed up with Jazzy Jeff to give us a few hits in the early 90’s.

Have you heard any of his recent music ?? Each track gets you tapping your feet and making you want to move :)  Turns out he simultaneous released some of his best music hits whilst making his movies.

will smith album Miami …  I can’t help but smile when I hear this song ! The song made Miami seem like one of the hottest spots – literally and figuratively ! (and trust me – London is the hottest spot to be at – but this song makes me want to go to Miami)

Getting Jiggy With It … don’t tell me you didn’t want to dance when you heard this the first time ! The video is hilarious and the little bit with the Egyptian flavour reminds me of Michael Jackson’s ‘Black or White’

Switch … a vibrant track that appeals to the mainstream and stayed on top of the charts for months !!! the video – I don’t know how he does it but I don’t think I’ve seen a man look sexier in a simple layered vest, jeans, and a cap !

I’ve always been a fan of Will Smith – and more so especially after watchinWill-Smith_0g Bad Boys ! I must have watched that film dozens of times because he just looked absolutely yummy in it ! and not to mention that the film was a fab action flick !

He is one of the only actors (according to Wikipedia) to have eight consecutive films gross over $100 million in the domestic box office as well as being the only actor to have eight consecutive films in which he starred open at the #1 spot in the domestic box office tally.

Some of my favourite films with Will Smith include Bad Boys (1 and 2); Men In Black (1 and 2); Hitch (the match maker who gets goofy when hooking himself up – too cute!); Shark Tales (ok so it was just his voice for the character – but the fish looked like him too!); I Robot, Independence Day and The Legend of Bagger Vance.

What do you think about Will Smith as an actor and as a musician ? Do you prefer to see him in action movies or comedies ?

It would be cool if you participate in this Sexy Saturday – and I really hope you share your favourite Sexy Saturday Male / Female with me.  Come on – don’t be shy – who’s the sexiest of them all in your eyes ??

Spot The Gold Price

gold pricesA couple of months ago I had written a post called ‘Gold For Thought’ and so far all the markets are pointing towards gold being the best form of investment.  I haven’t invested in any myself but my mother is all about the gold (then again she’s Indian and I can’t expect anything less of her)

It’s a known fact that gold is the only commodity traded all over the world and doesn’t lose value as easily as other investment products and hence provides guaranteed returns in the long run.

I’m a curious little diva and decided to find out a bit more about how one goes about determining the price of gold; and its not as straight forward as it seems – especially for a newbie !

Gold is measured by troy weight and grams; with 24 carats being pure gold.  The gold price or spot gold price is actually determined twice a day in goldfixingLondon by a group of 5 banks.  This is a procedure known as the Gold Fixing, and  provides a daily benchmark price to the industry.  The Gold Fixing is conducted twice a day by telephone in Pound Sterling (£), Euro (€) and USD ($), at 10:30 GMT and 15:00 GMT.

The first fixing took place on 12 September 1919 amongst the five principal gold bullion traders and refiners of the day: N M Rothschild & Sons, Mocatta & Goldsmid, Pixley & Abell, Samuel Montagu & Co. and Sharps Wilkins.

The gold spot or the "spot price" of gold is the amount you would pay to obtain gold at that particular period in time i.e. the cash price you are willing to pay for gold.  Somewhat paradoxically, the spot price of gold is determined by how much people are willing to pay for gold in the future. (hey I never said it would make sense if you weren’t in the market!)

To determine the best gold prices – one must compare the difference between the ‘bid’ and the ‘ask’ price quoted by different dealers.  In layman's terms one must find out how much a dealer will pay for your gold and how much they will sell it to you for.  The dealer that quotes the lowest spread between the bid and the ask will most likely give the best price when you actually make a trade.

This post was an educational journey for me … over the last few years I have been active in the stock and mutual fund market; and with the current economy, it only seems logical to start investing in a commodity as solid as gold.

If you have any tips about gold investments, please share them with us :)

Wordless Wednesday #6 Animal Transport

P5200624

This has got to be one of my favourite photos.  It was taken last week on 20th May in Jaipur at the base of a temple, knowing that I’d end up using it for the Wordless Wednesday series.

It’s quite cute how the monkey is just chilling on the back of the goat with no worries on his mind; and believe me when I say the goat walked about 100 meters uphill towards the temple with the monkey still sat on his back.  I’ve never seen anything like it !

I know about those birds that sit on rhinos and elephants and get a free ride (but they are also getting food) and similarly there are certain small species of fish that nibble the gunk off whales … but this has got to be a first ! At first I thought ‘aah this must be a jungle trend’ until it dawned on me that I witnessed this in a city ! Even the monkey knows about air pollution and is taking the goat instead of the many motorbikes behind it !

Have you ever seen a monkey riding a goat (and not in a zoo / circus) ? Have you seen any other small / medium sized animal riding another type of animal ?  Please do share your funniest animal sighting with all of us and if you’ve got a photo of it – don’t forget to put up your link !

Travel Tips for Thailand

Some of you might recall that I spent a week in Thailand with my girlfriend Nat.  Neither of us had ever been there and despite hearing lots of stories from various friends – we both decided to conduct our own research before heading off as two carefree single girls to the most promiscuous country in Asia !

Here are some of my general travel tips for Thailand:

Best Time To Travel.  What’s the point of going on holiday if you don’t get the timing right ? Thailand has 3 seasons : summer (March-July), rains (July-Oct), winter (Nov-Feb); with the winter season being the best time to visit.  Before you start changing your July Thai holiday – the rains aren’t so bad – it comes and goes; so nothing permanent.

Why Are You Going To Thailand?  Seriously – aside from wanting a holiday and the fact that Thailand is quite cheap – why are you going there ?  What kind of holiday do you want ?  Is it culture and heritage that you want ? Are you a diver and heard of the great diving spots out there ? A shopping getaway ? Or a beach getaway ? Once you know what kind of holiday you want – you can plan your trip to Thailand accordingly.  It’s not a huge country – but each province has its own specialty.   thailand map

Is That Valid ?  Yes, I’m referring to your passport; and whilst you’re checking that out – do you need a visa for Thailand ?  Certain passport holders such as UK, USA, Canada, and some European countries are exempt from Visas.  Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival.

Get a Local SIM card on arrival.  Trust me – this saves you an arm & a leg on roaming charges; and you’ve got a phone in case of an emergency.  A local SIM costs THB 99 which includes THB 35 credit.  You can top-up / refill the SIM in denominations of THB 25, 50, 100, 200 etc.

Vegetarians Consider Yourself Warned !  There is honestly not a huge choice of vegetarian food in Thailand.  They don’t even sell cheese in the 7/11’s !! Depending on where you are staying, stock up on some snacks & drinks for your hotel room / service apartment.  If you’re an ovo-lacto vegetarian (i.e. you eat dairy & eggs – then you’re slightly better off) then  you still have a chance with egg-fried rice at restaurants.  I strongly suggest that all vegetarians fill-up at breakfast because once you’re on the road – there’s not much out there for you.  Unless you traveled thousands of miles to eat pizza and pasta.

Event though holidays are meant to be full of full – you must be able to respect the culture of the country that you are visiting.  Here are a few things you should be careful about :

Don’t Make Fun of the Monarchy.  Seriously.  It’s a punishable offense.  The Thai people will not tolerate any lack of respect to any of the monarchs – past or present.  The current King has been on the throne for 60 years and that’s a record in Thailand.

Be Respectful.  Thailand is a predominantly Muslim country and comprises of over 30,000 temples across the country.  Ladies visiting temples (especially the bigger ones) must have their shoulders, chest and knees covered. no drugs Always leave your shoes outside the temples; and also when you visit someone’s home.  We had to take our shoes off whilst going into a nail bar.

Say No To Drugs.  I’m not trying to burst your holiday bubble; but do you really want to be caught and sentenced to a lifetime behind bars in a Thai prison cell ?? Didn’t you watch Brokedown Palace ?? There are random raids that take place at clubs and bars – so don’t say I didn’t warn you !

There you have it … that’s the general travel advice and tips I can give you for Thailand. I hope this comes in handy for when you plan your next holiday.  Don’t forget to check out my tips for Bangkok and Pattaya.

If you have any other travel advice for Thailand – please leave a comment and share it with all the neighbours on Blogosphere.

trendy gorillaIsn’t she just one gorgeous hairy beast ? I reckon she could gave Jane a swing for her tree house any day !!

I came across this photo whilst on FaceBook checking out my mate AJ’s profile and he had it as his profile picture ! So I had to do what any self-respecting blogger on the hunt for a great Wordless Wednesday picture would do … I downloaded it and am sharing it with all of you =)

So now that you’ve seen the awesome new trend in the jungle – what do you think about the eyes shadow that’s been used ? Have you ever dared to go so bright ? Do you reckon we could find this hairy beast a boyfriend ?

Music Mondays # 3 : REM – Losing My Religion

Who doesn’t love this track ?? It’s an all time classic and from as long as I can remember, I’ve always liked this song.

I’ve mentioned before – I’m not big on lyrics – I’m more of a beats person – I tend to listen to music where the beats get to me; and every now and then I find some tracks where I enjoy the lyrics as much as the beats.  This is one of those tracks.

Well I hope you enjoy this track as much as I do … there’s a lot that I’d like to say along with it except that I’m finding it very hard to put words to it.  The song lyrics almost do feel like an obsession and based on the quote I found below – I guess its a an obsession about unrequited love !

Stipe told Rolling Stone magazine: "I wanted to write a classic obsession song. So I did." In addition to calling it a song about "obsession," Stipe has also referred to it as a song about "unrequited love" in which all actions and words of the object of your obsession are scrubbed for hidden meaning and hopeful signs. The lyrics pretty clearly support this: "I thought that I heard you laughing, I thought that I heard you sing. I think I thought I saw you try."

Sexy Saturday – Paul Walker

paul-walker-and-the-supra

I couldn’t believe my luck watching The Fast & The Furious … right before my  eyes .. there’s this gorgeous hunk of a man and all I could think about was running my fingers through his hair.  Ok maybe not running as much as grabbing a chunk and bringing his face closer to mine – but you get my point.

Come to think of it – every time I have seen him on-screen – he’s given me butterflies in my tummy ….. oh alright – I’m just trying to be polite – I would hit that any day any time ! LOL

This blonde blue-eyed hunk is a mystery actor – instead of pompously parading himself to any and everyone – he cruises along with his career.  Now that I think about it – I have seen him in quite a few movies; I just couldn’t recall too many of them without looking them up.  Do you remember him from Brokedown Palace (wicked sound track); Varsity Blues; The Skulls (I would remember this name wouldn’t I); She’s All That; and Into The Blue (wetsuit on that body – how could I forget ??!!)

My Sexy Saturday vote goes out to the very divine Paul Walker ! Not only is he drop dead gorgeous – but he’s got brains too !!! He majored in Marine Biology and recently starred in a Nat Geo documentary on Great White Sharks.  Who can resist a man out to save the sharks ???

A Fishy Spa

It appears that my auto-publish feature in Live Writer decided not to work on Wednesday so I missed out on the Wordless Wednesday series – and since I had the post done up – might as well publish it – right ?

What would it take to get you to stick your feet in a tank of fish that feed on human flesh ? I’m talking about fish that feed on your feet ?? Except in this case – it’s not a piranha but more like a cross between a goldfish and a really skinny fish … and you’ll still be left alive !

The first ever known fish spa started back in the early 1900’s in Turkey with the Garra Rufa or Doctor fish.  The Kangal spa in Turkey has been a healing destination for more than 100 years and since 1988 has been a treatment centre for psoriasis sufferers from all over the world.

I never ever thought that I’d voluntarily put my feet into a space where little fishes would come and nibble on them to give me a fish spa treatment !!!  So whilst I was on holiday in Thailand – my mate Nat and I decided to give this fish spa a whirl !

The two of us (as you can hear and see) were petrified and were shrieking like 5 year olds !! It’s such an unusual feeling … almost like your feet are being molested by a mob of hungry fish !! As much as I am a water baby and love the ocean – I am also sh*t scared of fishes !!! I’d much rather swim with a whale or a shark than be left to the mercy of beady eyed fishes !

Here’s a slightly closer look at how the fish come after the dead skin on the feet .. sounds gross I know – but it’s not so bad … (and I apologize if the video is not clear – its very clear when I watch it but seems to be a bit fuzzy now that I have it up on YouTube)

The entire experience was hilarious as the two of us kept getting freaked out about the way the fish were nibbling (actually more like sucking on our feet) – but we managed to sit there for about 30 minutes or so.  We found a deal for THB 150 for 2 people and unlimited time – so made the most of it.  Our feet definitely felt ‘smoother’ but not as smooth as when you have an actual pedicure.

Now that you’ve hopefully watched both videos - here are some questions for you ….

  1. Have you ever heard of a fish spa ?
  2. Have you ever tried one ?
  3. Do you think fish spas could be a part of the new pedicure process ?

Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about this – and let’s refrain from making fun of me for screaming out like a little girl LOL

It’s Another Goal ! 2nd Century !!

I’m smiling to myself as I write this and with good reason too … This very post that you are reading is my ….

blogpost200

Yup – that’s right – 200th blog post !! Quite exciting huh ?  Maybe not for you (if you’ve crossed that mark – or even if you haven’t) but it is for me.

I don’t have anything prolific to say; nor any words of wisdom … what I do want to say will perhaps come out over the next 200 posts (unless something really bad happens to me) .. at least my sporadic reflections have managed to carve a small space in the blogosphere .. and for that I am grateful and thankful.

If it wasn’t for all of my neighbours in Bloggerville (old and new) - I wouldn’t still be here.

There are quite a few things I’d like to achieve by the end of the year in terms of the content that goes on to this haven of mine – and for that I need your support and feedback.

Whilst I ponder on how to keep you around for another few hundred posts – feel free to leave me a comment with some feedback about what you think about my sporadic reflections to date; any reflections that you’d like to read about this year; any tips or suggestions to improve your experience (and that will keep you coming back for more)

Seriously, a big shout out to all of you out there reading – thanks for stopping by and letting my sporadic reflections (and me) be a part of your life.

Music Mondays # 2 : Hurts – Wonderful Life

It’s Monday – start of the new week – I can’t believe how quickly yet how slowly the week has gone by. I took part in my first ever Music Monday last week.  I didn’t get many responses but that’s okay since it takes time for something like this to build up.  I did get a few tweets out of it – so at least I made some people smile :)

I’m on my 2nd Music Monday and couldn’t think of a better track than ‘Hurts – Wonderful Life’ to begin the week with.  Hurts are an English electronic duo from Manchester composed of singer Theo Hutchcraft and synthesizer Adam Anderson.  I only discovered this song about a week, maybe ten days ago and it’s been stuck in my head ever since !  I’ve found a YouTube link along with the Lyrics (not that a lyrics guide is necessary since its quite a simple track)

There’s not much information about the group online – however I have discovered that they were ranked #4 of top 5 acts to look out for in 2010 by the BBC in their ‘Sound of 2010’ poll.  And with the sounds of Wonderful Life – they can definitely make it big !

The original Wonderful Life video makes you think back to the 80’s – a very funky black & white video; the lyrics are empowering; the strings are haunting and the drums make me think of electro-pop.

Have you heard this track before ? What do you think about it ? The lyrics are quite haunting – I can hear the ‘never give up’ in the back of my mind – and its definitely motivating when I’m having a frustrating day with work.  So please do leave a comment as it will save me from having the Monday Blues hehe.

Come join Music Monday and share your songs with us. Rules are simple. Leave ONLY the actual post link here and grab the code below and place it at your blog entry. 7 Must Have Mood Enhancers

My BBBFF The Fabulous Bitch wrote a fab post on Must Have Fab Bitch Mood Enhancers and I couldn’t agree with her more !  I’m pretty certain that you (yes you turning around) have a special something that totally boosts your mood and helps turn your day around …

Sure in this day and age – some things we desire are superficial and materialistic .. such a damn shame they are the cause of pleasure in our lives !  I could probably rattle off a never ending list of things, people, places that lift my mood but for the purpose of this post (and so as not to lose your interest completely) I’ll just stick to the top 7 (don’t ask me why its 7 – ask The Fabulous One as I’m just following her post)

hypnotic poison

Hypnotic Poison by Christian Dior

This is one perfume that gets my hormones in over drive and makes me feel like a true Diva ! I don’t know any true blooded man who can resist this scent … If I feel good and smell good – there’s no stopping the diva in me on a night out :)

If you haven’t already tried this – then I highly recommend it.  And if you don’t feel like a diva – then I’ll change my name (ok maybe I won’t but still – try it!)

A Full Body Massagemassage

Ok so it’s not like I have a boyfriend who can drop everything to give me a massage – but  I’ve found the best pick-me-up comes in the form a body massage.  It could be a back massage, a foot massage, a head & shoulder massage – any or all of them make for a great mood enhancer.

No boyfriend means that I have to find an alternative … my mum has found a lady who comes home for massages – and I manage to spoil myself with one at least 3 times a week :)  Now that’s the way the Diva rolls ! I just have to reach her how to manage a Thai massage and then I’m sorted !

skype

Skype

Yup that’s right – I said Skype.  I can’t begin to describe what a buzz it is to hear that ringing sound and knowing that within a few seconds I’d be able to ‘see’ my friends who live overseas.  Its quick, easy and best of all FREE (ok fine not really fully free since I do have to pay internet bills – but its still better than paying an arm & a leg for a phone bill).  Besides, having an ex compliment you face-to-face always creates a mood lift :P

Wine & Cheese  white-wine-bleu-cheese

Like The Fabulous One I do like me a nice chilled glass of sweet white wine.  Throw in an assortment of divine cheeses; some grapes and crackers and I’ll be on my way to the heavens :)

If you’ve never had a W&C party before – then do check out the article Wine 7 Cheese by John St Mark

galaxy bar with piecesChocolate

Give me white, milk or dark chocolate and you’ll see the smile across my face for the whole day.  It’s one of my guilty pleasures !  The past few weeks – I’ve been going through various mood swings and I find that the only solution to them is either Galaxy or Toblerone chocolate.  I love the way Galaxy pieces melt in your mouth.  I break off a piece, and leave it in my mouth to melt away – and let those mini orgasmic waves take over my senses ! Damn I want some Galaxy right now !

cold_coffee Cold Coffee / Coffee Milkshake

With the summer coming along in full force here in Bombay – the only thing that lifts my spirits in the morning is a tall glass of Cold Coffee or Coffee Milkshake.  It’s not as strong as a regular cup of coffee nor is it too sweet .. its just the right blend and teases the palate … and I find it more addictive than regular coffee.  It’s extremely refreshing – there’s the buzz of caffeine combined with a cool taste – a perfect morning mood lifter.

Of course the real deal would make soar into the sky – but I believe in reality – so will be happy to stare at my laptop or phone where I can have numerous hot men stare right back at me !  It just seems to me that Bombay is currently lacking severely in the ‘hot men’ category and since I’m not a Bollywood celebrity stalker – the regular guys aren’t quite cutting it for me … So eye candy it is – all on my laptop and just for moi :)

Now that you know my must-have mood enhancers – what are yours ? Do you crave the same things that The Fabulous One and I seek out ? Or must you have something that would put our must-haves to shame ?  Don’t forget to leave a comment; and if you decide to create your own post – make sure you share your link !

Sexy Saturday – Shemar Moore

I’ve decided to create a ‘meme’ (ok fine I didn’t do any of the technical work but still its the thought that counts) and the focus is going to be Sexy Saturday.  I hope that all of you who drop by my blog will at least try it out ONCE (so that I feel that there are people out there looking for a Sexy Saturday)

The past few weeks I’ve been HOOKED onto Criminal Minds.  I have always been a big fan of Shemar-Moore-criminal-minds-6715866-904-1200CSI and have finished off all the seasons that I could possibly have of all the 3 CSI shows.  So I was super excited when my brother had downloaded 5 seasons of Criminal Minds.

From day one of watching the show – my jaw literally dropped on seeing Shemar Moore aka Derek Morgan on the show.  OMG – now that has got to be one of the finest, most sexy men I have ever laid my eyes on ! and he’s 40 years old ! That’s some body maintenance ! I’m on Season 2 of the show, and with every show – it’s as if the man just gets hotter !

I keep getting ask what my ‘type’ of guy is .. and I always respond with ‘I don’t have a type’ … and I stand by that … but I would never say no if Shemar (or someone even vaguely resembling him) stopped to ask me .. well anything !! LOL

So I thought that since it’s Saturday night – we’re all making plans to go out – and how I wish I could spot hotness like him out here in Mumbai.  *sigh*   Here are a few more pics of him to drool over .. =)
